#FoodTravelSeries Ep.7: A Taste Of The US Virgin Islands
In episode 7 of the food travel Series, Lisa from Flavors Food tours takes us to the US Virgin Islands with lemongrass tea in her home in St Thomas islands. Lemongrass, also called citronella, is a tall, stalky plant. It has a fresh, lemony aroma and a citrus flavour and amazing health benefits. Another popular tea you will find in these islands is Bush tea.
Flavors Food Tours was created to help travellers and locals discover the hidden culinary and cultural treasures in the off-the-beaten-path wherever they may roam. They offer tours in four locations: San Juan, Puerto Rico, St. Martin, St. Thomas, and Atlanta, Georgia. If you’re planning to travel to those countries in the near future, consider doing a food tour with them as this is a great way to experience food culture while travelling! Their goal is to tease the guest’s taste buds and share their culinary passions and the Flavors way of life. They are passionate about connecting people with local food makers and showcasing city sights.
While tours were on pause during COVID-19, @flavorsfoodtours released their Flavors Boxes – three variations of goodie filled boxes straight from the heart of Old San Juan – to support local businesses who collaborate with us on tours. You can find these at www.flavorsboxes.com.
Make sure to check out their website and take advantage of their 15% discount on e-certificates (that never expire!) at www.globalflavorsfoodtours.com
