If you have narrowed down your choice of holiday destinations to the Devon and Cornwall area, you certainly won’t be disappointed. This enchanting region has much to offer tourists of all ages, with great beaches, rolling landscapes and granite gorges that are definitely worth exploring. When thinking of holiday accommodation, forget hotels, as they are not only expensive, you are restricted in some ways, whereas, renting a luxury cottage offers you the very best of both worlds. You can sample the delightful cuisine in the local pubs and inns, and every now and then prepare something at your cottage.

North Devon Holiday Locations

The South West Coast is an ideal place to base yourself, and you can book North Devon holiday cottage rentals online from a leading agency. Sadly, luxury cottages are no secret, so make sure you book well in advance if you don’t want to be disappointed, and prices depend on the time of year you plan on going. Combe Martin is a great little village that has the best stretch of beaches, which makes it a firm favourite with surfers, and you can spend a few afternoons exploring the tea shops and quaint pubs where you can listen to stories of pirates and shipwrecks, as told by the locals.

I’ve been looking for my next new place to try out here in the UK for another trip next month and recently tried North Wales. I would love to try Devon next – it looks so pretty. I was thinking about maybe hiring a cottage – I have an anniversary coming up and think it would be a lovely get away.
