Phuket Diaries: Karn’s Easy Thai Cooking Class Review

Phuket Diaries: Karn’s Easy Thai Cooking Class Review

Last December, I took the plunge to travel solo to Phuket, Thailand for my birthday which was the best experience ever! This was the first time I travelled by myself outside of Europe.

I really wanted to get a taste of making authentic Thai dishes in a fun and learning environment. Cooking is therapeutic for me most times and I love getting a deeper understanding of how other countries create different dishes and the process behind it. Besides, Thai food is one of my favourite cuisines. This was also a great way to meet other travellers. I decided to attend a Thai cooking class with Karn.

Karn was absolutely amazing and funny too! I loved her energy, enthusiasm and knowledge of Thai cuisine.

If you’re going to Phuket, I would definitely recommend you taking her class. You can book her half-day Phuket easy Thai cooking class via Airbnb – https://www.airbnb.co.uk/experiences/658352 (use this link to get some money off your next experience).

She offers morning and afternoon cooking classes from Monday to Saturday. If you have any dietary requirements and let her know in advance, she will accommodate your needs.

We started the day by going into the local market and picking up our fresh and organic ingredients for the class. She educated us on Thailand’s produce and did so with her charm. It was really interesting seeing variations of vegetables I’ve never seen in the UK before.

She called her cooking class easy for a reason and it definitely was. Even if you are a beginner when it comes to cooking, her simple steps and tricks to cooking did make the process much easier.

The best part of the cooking class was eating the food I made!
